Problem Note 43353: Publishing a scenario gives "Invalid Addresses; nested exception.." errors

When you publish a scenario in SAS® Marketing Optimization, the following error might appear:
Invalid Addresses; nested exception is: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 550 must be authenticated
SAS Marketing Optimization should enable you to send e-mail using a mail server that requires you to input your authentication credentials. However, it does not allow sending.
